They told her not to love him. Not to even try.

But when they started writing music together…
something happened.

🎤 This is more than a song — it's her story.

They met working weddings—
but they weren’t supposed to meet this way...

The Warning

Everyone said it would be a mistake. He was older. Just out of a divorce. She was supposed to walk away.

They told her she was being naive. That she was chasing something broken. But what they didn't see—was the music.

The Relationship That Wasn’t

They met while working for the same wedding band agency—crossing paths occasionally, sharing stages, but never truly seeing each other.

At the time, both were in relationships that left them feeling invisible. Her boyfriend wouldn’t even acknowledge they were dating. Mike had been in the same band with him for five years and never even knew.

She would go out with him in public, and people still didn’t know they were together. Her name was never mentioned. She stopped bringing it up.

She started to feel like she was disappearing. Like love wasn’t supposed to feel this quiet.

The Music School and the Shift

When Mike later opened a music school, he put out an ad for a vocal teacher. She answered it. She started teaching there. She moved up to become manager. Then, they started writing together.

Mike was in the middle of leaving his marriage. The emotional weight was heavy on both sides.

The Chart That Sparked It

One day, Mike did her astrology chart—and something clicked. She felt something stirring beneath the music. When she told her friends, they warned her: stay away. He was 17 years older. Just divorced. A different background, a different culture.

But the music kept flowing. And so did the connection. They kept writing. They kept showing up. And eventually—they both realized they wanted more.

Writing to Survive

Mystina writing.jpg

They didn’t sit down to fall in love. They sat down to write. But the more they wrote, the harder it became to ignore what was underneath.

She tried to hold it back. They warned her again and again. But music has a way of pulling the truth out of you.

So she let it out. And this was the first thing that came through:

"What do you do when all the world is fighting you? They don't want, they don't want you

They don't want you together."

A Survival Song

This song wasn’t just written. It was wrestled out of her. She wrote it when no one was listening. When the people she trusted most told her to walk away. When her friends stopped asking about him. When the silence got too loud.

This wasn’t a love song. It was a survival song.

"My friends don’t understand, a heart that's bleeding

To find my love has been a search and rescue

To find, your kind, is what I got to be or not to be continued"

This was her answer.

The Real Story

This isn’t a perfect love story. It’s a real one.

They didn’t fall in love the easy way. They worked their way through doubt, judgment, silence, and heartbreak. They kept creating. They kept listening. And they found the kind of connection that only comes through fire.

"What do you do when all the world is fighting you?"

This Is Our Story

This isn’t just a song. It’s our story.

And on June 2nd, 2024, we were married.

The same friends who once told her to stay away… came to celebrate.

They danced. They cried. They sang the very song that started it all.

Because sometimes, love doesn’t follow rules. It follows truth.
